The Caribbean is arguably the perfect spot for vacations, relaxation, adventure and leisure. Even during the pandemic, travelers from all over the world were keen on travelling to the Caribbean region. With 2023 finally here, travelers are looking to put Covid-19 behind them and finally unwind and rejuvenate in the most pleasurable way possible. Here are some of the best tips for Post-Pandemic Travel to the Caribbean in 2023.

To “V” or not to “V”

The most controversial topic throughout and after the Pandemic is Vaccination. It will still come down to a matter of personal preference as it is not mandated in most countries. However, countries like the USA require it because of the heavy international traffic at their airports. You may also require Covid testing within 48 hours of travel depending on the country of origin. The Caribbean region has enjoyed low rates of infection throughout the Pandemic and most countries are open to travelers who are not vaccinated. Countries such as the Turks and Caicos Islands however, require full vaccination for entry.

“… it is important to stand at least 6 feet apart. This still stands true even Post-Pandemic.”

Check with the CDC before Travel

At Island Bwoy Travel, we implore travelers to get acquainted with the travel advisory on the Government website of their travel destination. The information published will provide insight into what is required before leaving your country of residence. Often times there are variants that spring up so immigration requirements can change within a matter of minutes during Post-Pandemic Travel. Do note as well that Government websites are often times not updated instantly and can give outdated information. We advise checking with the CDC dedicated website for that country or get in touch with your Island Bwoy Travel agent here.

Best Practices for Post-Pandemic Travel

Random Check Ups: Getting tested as often as possible especially at the sign of any flu-like symptoms. Attempt getting tested even a day or 2 before departure.

Face Masks: The 3 most accepted masks are medical, non-medical and respirators. Masks are designed to conceal one’s nasal and oral areas which would then prevent any form of inside germs from being between people during conversations or interactions.

Social Distancing: When engaging with others, it is important to stand at least 6 feet apart. This would help to limit contact between both parties and the spread of the virus. This still stands true even Post-Pandemic

Self Quarantine: Before traveling, self quarantining can be a good way to stay safe and preserve better health for you and those around you.
