Airlines, Ticketing & Invoicing

Airlines involved are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not aboard their aircraft. The passenger contract, or tickets in use by the airlines, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline, the purchaser of any of these trips and/or the passenger. Islandbwoy specializes in remote destinations and as a result, connecting flights via local Charter airlines may be required. We will ensure that these aircrafts and operators are of good standing and possess current documentation and relevant insurance. Islandbwoy reserves the right to make any alterations to the itinerary as it sees necessary or desirable, to refuse, to accept or retain as a member of the party any person at any time (in such case refund will be based on the actual cost of the unfinished portion of tour/trip) and to pass on to tour/trip members expenditures occasioned by delays or offense beyond their control.  The services of an IATA, ARC, TICO or ATOL certified carrier or agent may be used in connection with the booking of tours/trips. Prices quoted are based on foreign exchange values and tariffs currently in effect and are subject to change. In such a case, the client will be notified before booking and reserves the right to cancel their tour/trip before departure. The cancellation policy as per the contractors or owners and outfitters, hotels, airlines, railroads, shipowners, charter air carriers providing means of transportation or other services will apply in the case of a cancellation. These terms and conditions will be discussed before tour/trip. The date shown on the invoice, which will be sent to you is the date of booking. It is important to check the details on the invoice as soon as you receive it.

Travel Insurance and Force Majeure

Travel Insurance is a vital part of any holiday and we recommend trip insurance with full cancellation cover by Travel Ex. Holidays, trips/tours are planned by Islandbwoy using independent suppliers such as airlines, hotels etc., over whom we have no direct control. In rare cases where there are mishaps, neglect or human error on the part of these suppliers, we will work within the parameters of the existing agreement, laws and regulations to recover any compensation owed as a result thereof. We do not accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our obligations under our contract with you is prevented, affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of “force majeure”. This is defined as events we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid and includes but is not limited to actual or threatened war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.  For more information on trip insurance or our booking conditions, see our website for further reading or discuss with an Islandbwoy representative here.
